Self Portrait - Week 1 of 52

I saw others do "52 projects" for years but I was never really interested because I didn't want the point to be just a photo a week. It needed to be more and I couldn't come up with an additional goal to go along with it. But this year I found my goal. I want to push myself into an uncomfortable zone as much as possible. I stick with what's familiar far too often. I rely on the same old things too much. I need to shut up, look around, and listen to what's going on in my surroundings. I believe that if I force myself outside my usual comfort zone, and I put in a little sweat, I'll come out better on the other side. So here's to 51 more weeks of uneasy, unusual, unfamiliar territory.
